The difference between Paradigm Verses Theory

Two words that confuse many students in the field of science

Main Difference – Paradigm Verses Theory

Is There a Difference Between Paradigm Verses Theory? Paradigm and theory are two different concepts, but are related to one another.

A single paradigm can have a number of theories within and assists academics to formulate theories using the paradigm as a reference.

What is a Theory? As mentioned above, a theory explains a phenomenon or presents a relationship that exists.

A Paradigm is a model that consists of theories, research methods, postulates, etc.

A Theory is a scientifically credible general principle or principles that explain(s) a phenomenon.

I hope you enjoyed this video, we see that it doesn’t matter what we know or what age we are, we can adapt, to achieve our goals and turn our passions into reality, she learns how to overcome many things, including technology.

Can we change paradigms?

The first known use of paradigm was in the 15th century

Have you ever asked yourself, “What’s a paradigm?”

Paradigm comes from Greek παράδειγμα (paradeigma), “pattern, example, sample” from the verb παραδείκνυμι (paradeiknumi), “exhibit, represent, expose” and that from παρά (para), “beside, beyond” and δείκνυμι (deiknumi), “to show, to point out”

In science and philosophy, a paradigm (/ˈpærədaɪm/) is a distinct set of concepts or thought patterns, including paradigm verses theories, research methods, postulates, and standards for what constitutes legitimate contributions to a field.

Borrowed from Wikipedia

“A particular train of thought persisted in, be it good or bad, cannot fail to produce its results on the character and circumstances.

A man cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts, and so indirectly, yet surely, shape his circumstances”.

“A Philosophical or Theoretical framework of any kind, that represents how you experience reality”.

So it’s therefore your belief system.

Paradigm Shift:

what is a paradigm shift and how can we use it?

Accordingly, a paradigm shift is defined as “an important change that happens when the usual way of thinking about or doing something is replaced by a new and different way”.

A paradigm shift is a major change in how people think and get things done that upends and replaces a prior paradigm.

The term paradigm shift refers to a major change in the worldview, concepts, and practices of how something works or is accomplished. A paradigm shift can happen within a wide variety of contexts from personal change, scientific research to industry.

If you want to provoke profound changes in your life, you need to reevaluate your paradigms

Paradigms are important because they define how we perceive reality and how we behave within it. As such, everyone is subject to the limitations and distortions produced by their socially-conditioned nature.

For instance, before Einstein physicists took Newtonian physics for granted.

That paradigm was then challenged with the rise of quantum mechanics.

Paradigm shifts in industry often happen when new technology is introduced that radically alters the production process or manufacturing of a goods or service.

These paradigm shifts are key drivers in many of the processes that a society undergoes such as the American Industrial Revolution.
